Hongqian (Kathy) Zhang
Principal Lawyer
Kathy graduated from a top tier law school in China. Before she came to Canada, Kathy was a judge adjudicating commercial and civil disputes in Shenzhen Municipal Intermediate People’s Court. Kathy obtained her first Master's degree in Law from the University of Hong Kong and her second Master from Dalhousie University.
Kathy has served thousands of local clients on various legal matters including general corporate matters, business transactions, shareholder disputes, civil litigation, family law matters, residential and commercial real estate conveyances, wills and estate planning, and notarial services. Kathy also regularly assists local and oversea companies on cross-border transactions.
Kathy is a native Mandarin speaker and has Chinese drafting ability. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys spending time with her husband and children, as well as traveling, cooking, biking and reading.

Yang Bai
Lawyer and Notary Public
Yang graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2015. Yang practiced as a civil litigator in Alberta as well as a corporate in-house counsel in Ontario. She is a current member of both the Alberta and Ontario bar, as well a notary public for both provinces.
For the past few years, Yang assisted her clients in receiving conclusive and hassle-free resolution of their legal issues. Being fluent in Mandarin and proficient in written Chinese, Yang is able to serve her clients in both English and Chinese.
Yang’s primary areas of practice include civil litigation, family law, as well as corporate and business law.
When she is not on the job, Yang enjoys playing squash, hiking and indulging in her love for travelling.

Richard Cao
Lawyer and Notary Public
Richard graduated from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law in 2022. He worked as a 2021 summer student and 2022 student lawyer at Jade Summit Law on real estate and commercial transactions and immigration law. During Law School, Richard participated in the Dentons Negotiation Competition, was involved in various school clubs and went to an overseas internship. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and worked as an engineering intern prior to Law School.
Richard speaks Mandarin fluently. In his spare time, Richard enjoys working out and practicing archery."

Office Manager
Grace holds a law degree from China. She has years of experience as an in-house legal counsel with a multi-national real property development company located in Shanghai, China. Currently, as an administrator, Grace is responsible for managing the administrative operations of the Firm.
Grace speaks both English and Mandarin Chinese fluently.
